Galatasaray take on Mersin at the Türk Telekom Arena wanting their second consecutive win of the season.
The reigning champions lost Felipe Melo and Alex Telles to Inter Milan on transfer deadline day and failed to bring in any replacements despite agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Grosskreutz.
The transfer debacle resulted in Galatasaray signing Grosskreutz but failing to register him due to not sending over the necessary paperwork before the end of the transfer window deadline.
Former Real Madrid youth Jose Rodridguez is expected to feature in central midfield alongside captain Selçuk Inan. Ex Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski is expected to start on the flank with Burak Yılmaz up-front and Wesley Sneijder in a playmaker role.
Mersin have lost all three opening games of the season and sit rock bottom at the foot of the table.
