Trabzonspor have been linked with a move for the Mexico national team goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
The Black Sea Storm have been without their first choice keeper Onur Kivrak since October due to a cruciate ligament injury and isn’t expected back until May 2015.
Trabzonspor’s new manager Ersun Yanal has requested that the board sign a new goalkeeper in January with Ochoa being the first name on the shortlist.
Ochoa moved to Malaga following a string of impressive performances in the World Cup however, is yet to start a game for the La Liga side.
Malaga general director Vicente Casado has stated that the club will consider Ochoa’s future in December.
“We still think Guillermo will fight [for his place] in every training session and then we’ll see in December.”
Liverpool have also been linked with the Mexican and came close to signing him during the summer transfer window.
29-year-old Ochoa has made 66 international caps for Mexico but has not played any first team club football this season.
