The Turkish national team got off to a slow start but there nerves were put to rest after Burak Yilmaz was brought down for a penalty by Abdulin in the  26. minute.

The Galatasaray goalscorer found the back of the net from the penalty spot putting Turkey 1-0 ahead.

Fatih Terim’s side assumed complete control of the game following their second goal and will hope increase their lead in the second half.
