Barcelona are set to appeal the FIFA transfer ban which restricts the club from registering summer signing Arda Turan following injury to Rafinha.
According to SPORT (h/t Sport Witness) Barcelona will make an request to FIFA to register the bearded winger despite the appeal almost certain to be rejected.
Rafinha suffered a tore right anterior cruciate ligament injury against Roma in the Champions League group stage opening game mid-week.
Barcelona are a little stretched in midfield and could have done with the availability of Turan who is expected to enjoy a key role in the current side if head coach Luis Enrique is to be believed.
The La Liga champions drew their opening game against Roma 1-1 at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital.
Turan will have to wait until January if FIFA reject the Champion League title holders request to play club football.
