Mesut Ozil played 75 minutes in Arsenal’s disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of their London rivals Chelsea.
Th2 26-year-old played in his favoured ‘number 10’ role behind the striker but was unable to dictate the tempo of the game.
Ozil received a rating of 6.64 from whoscored, which was the highest of all of Arsenal’s attackers. The Germany international took no shots on target, made one cross and made a total of just 32 passes thought the game.
The Gunners were down to 10 men after Gabriel Paulista was sent off at the end of the first half.
Chelsea took advantage of the extra man and took the lead early on in the first half. The Blues secured victory late on when Eden Hazard’s shot was deflected into the back of the net.
Jose Mourinho’s side moved up to 12th place while Arsenal remain in forth position with ten points in six games.
The Gunners take on their rivals Chelsea in the League Cup on Wednesday.
