Roben van Persie has stated that he is unhappy after starting on the bench in Fenerbahce’s 2-1 victory over Bursaspor on Sunday.
The Netherlands international scored his first home goal since leaving Manchester United after coming off the bench in the second half.
“To be honest, I am not very happy at this moment,” he told Lig TV.
“I was not happy that I started on the bench. I am fully fit, physically very well and able to play for 90 minutes.
“The only right answer I could give was with what I did: helping the team to get the victory.”
Van Persie replaced on-loan Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic on 77 minutes and scored the winning goal just two minutes later with his first shot on target.
The former United striker has taken five shots in the league since joining Fenerbahçe and scored twice.
The 32-year-old striker now has three goals for the Yellow Canaries since joining on a three-year move from United over the summer.
