Arsenal will make a decision regarding the future of their star playmaker Mesut Özil at the end of the season according to his agent Dr Erkut Söğüt.
“Arsenal will make a decision at the end of the season and it is too early to predict whether Arsenal will be willing to let Özil go,” Erkut Söğüt was quoted as saying by Radyospor.
“If Arsenal are willing to let Özil go, Fenerbahce will be a serious option.”
Özil was born in Germany and is part of the largest Turkish community based in the country with an estimated population of 3-4 million.
The Germany international often travels to Turkey to meet family and is fluent in Turkish but the £42.5 million record Arsenal transfer still has another three-years left on his contract and is reported to be happy at the club.
Fenerbahce made ambitious transfer over the summer transfer window including former Gunners striker Robin van Persie and ex Manchester United winger Luis Nani.
