Liverpool take on Aston Villa at Anfield hoping to get their season back on track after four league games without a single victory.

The Reds did beat League 2 side Carlisle in the Carling Cup midweek with Emre Can pulling off the highlight of the night with a panenka penalty in the shoot out after the game ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation and extra t.me.

Can is expected to start against for Liverpool but it is up to head coach Brendan Rodgers if he is played in midfield or in defence as part of the back-three or as a full-back.

Liverpool will be without former Villa striker Cristian Benteke and the last time the Reds beat them at home was back in 2010.
