Germany national team manager Joachim Löw has praised Fenerbahce’s manager Ismail Kartal.
The World Cup winning coach was speaking in an interview with the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
“I have been very impressed with Fenerbahce this season. Ismail Kartal really has done a good job,” Löw said.
“They are at the top of the table and I will be very happy for them if they win the title.
“I congratulated him [Ismail Kartal] following the derby victory over Besiktas.”
Joachim Löw previously managed at Adanaspor briefly in 2001 and at Fenerbahce in 1998.
Ismail Kartal was appointed as manager of Fenerbahce at the start of the season following Ersun Yanal’s departure from the club.
Fenerbahçe are currently first in the Süper Lig with 19 points from nine games.
