Bilic wants Aston Villa target Pinto [divider]

Slaven Bilic has confirmed that Beşiktaş are interested in 5-6 players but that his first choice is Ivo Pinto.

“I said Ivo Pinto is a good player but we will see how the talks go,” Bilic said.

“Pinto is one of the players we are interested in but in fact there are 5-6 candidates we are looking into. 

“The president and vice-president are in charge of negotiations, hopefully we strengthen the squad during the transfer window.

“Hopefully we bring in 2-3 players, we are lacking depth and have a limited squad right now”

Pinto has also been closely linked with Premier League outfit Aston Villa.

Bilic also commented on Beşiktaş’s extensive fixture list over the winter period.

“We are going to have a lot of games so we need to depth to cope, especially in defence and midfield,” Bilic said.

“I am happy with our attacking based players and they are performing well.”

Beşiktaş are currently in third place and will play 13 games within a 42 days span.
