Konyaspor press officer Ahmet Baydar praised recently appointed manager Aykut Kocaman following the 2-0 win over Gaziantepspor on the weekend.
“Team morale is great following the arrival of Aykut Kocaman,” Baydar said.
“He has only been in charge for a few weeks but he has already made a lot of changes and the players are starting to understand his system.
“Kocaman is trying to implement a new way of thinking, new tactics, new strategies.
“Hopefully we keep improving in this manner and start moving up the league table.
“We are playing good football and deserve to be in a better position but the win against Gaziantepspor was a huge boost and we can only move onwards and upwards from here.”
Kocaman won the league title with Fenerbahçe in 2010-11 and finished runner-up in 2011–12, 2012–13. The former Yellow Canaries boss also won two Turkish Cups and reached the semi-finals of the 2012-13 Europa League.
The 49-year-old is largely responsible for building the Yellow Canaries system that is still used today.
