Mesut Özil has taken to social media to celebrate a positive week for Arsenal.
The Gunners defeated Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League then beat Everton by a 2-1 scoreline in the league.
Özil posted a picture of himself celebrating along with his teammates on Instagram along with the caption, “What a week for us: #UCL win against #fcbayern, 4th @premierleague win in a row and top of the table for today. Could be worse. #YaGunnersYa #afcvefc @arsenal.”
Özil provided the assist for the Gunners opening goal in the 36th minute.
Arsenal went onto double their lead two minutes later when Koscielny headed in from Santi Cazorla’s free-kick.
The Gunners moved into first place following todays win. Manchester City could still however overtake Arsenal should they beat Manchester United tomorrow.
Özil now has a total of seven assists in all competitions for the north London based club this season.
