Everton striker Lukaku will not be joining Besiktas says agent [divider]
Everton striker Romelu Lukaku will not be joining Beşiktaş on loan according to football agent Saffet Balkan.
“Galatasaray have never made an offer for him but Beşiktaş sporting director Semih Usta did make an enquiry about Lukaka,” Balkan said.
“I know Lukaku’s family and he wants to stay in England, he has to play in England for three years to get all the rights.
“Therefore he did not want to move to another country on loan.
“I can’t see him moving to Turkey for the time being but rumours that Drogba and Chedjou put him off are nonsense.”
Balkan also revealed that Lukaku’s father played in Turkey and that he still maintains close ties.
“Lukaku won’t be coming to Turkey for now, perhaps in five years time. His father of course played at Gençlerbirliği and we helped him make the move,” Balkan said.
Lukaku joined Everton from Chelsea for £28 million this summer.
