Ali Dürüst – ‘It is up to Hamzaoglu now to prove himself’ [divider]

Galatasaray board member Ali Dürüst revealed that it was now to Hamza Hamzaoğlu to prove himself as manager.

“We have done everything we can, now it is up to Hamza to prove himself,” Dürüst said.

“I am sure he will be successful. 

“We won on the weekend, maybe we did not play that well but the important thing was winning. 

“Winning in this environment was very important. 

“What I was most impressed with was the players response in the changing room, morale was high and there was a great team spirit.”

Hamzaoğlu played for Galatasaray as a player but made a name for himself as a manager during his spell at Akhisar.

The 44-year-old coach led Akhisar into the Süper Lig from the PTT 1. Lig and later joined the Turkish national team as Fatih Terim’s assistant coach.
