Mesut Özil provided an assist during Arsenal’s disappointing defeat at the hands of West Brom in the Premier League.
The North London based side took the lead when Özil set up Olivier Giroud for the opener. Arsenal look set for a comfortable afternoon however the home side were ahead going into the break.
Özil broke the assist record he created against West Brom at the Hawthorns when he setup Giroud. The 27-year-old has now provided an assist in seven consecutive games which is a Premier League record.
The World Cup winner has a total of 11 assists in 12 games for the Gunners now which is the highest in Europe’s top five leagues including England, Spain, France, Italy and Germany.
Arsenal take on Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League during the week and travel to Norwich City next weekend.
