The Turkish Cup is as important as the league says Roberto Carlos [divider]
Sivasspor manager Roberto Carlos wants his side to take the Turkish Cup as seriously as the Süper Lig.
“The Turkish Cup is as important to us as the league,” Carlos said.
“As professionals we must try are best in every competition we are competing in.
“The players know how important both competitions are and we will aim to go far in the competition.
“It really doesn’t matter what the occasion or competition is, we always play for the win.
“If a player thinks otherwise he can let us know, tell the board and what happens, happens.”
Sivasspor play Gaziantepspor in the Ziraat Turkish Cup Group A on 3 Wednesday.
Carlos’s side will be without Ümit Kurt due to injury, İbrahim Toraman and Abdurrahman Dereli are also doubts.
