Mesut Özil has stated that he is happy to be playing in his favoured number ten role in midfield during an interview with BT Sport.
The Germany international also went onto say that the team are working well together and that the atmosphere within the squad is good.
“On top of it all, that I have my position as the No. 10 in midfield now. And you should also not forget that we’ve got a super team, and get along really well,” Özil told Sport 1.
“We all know how the others play, and you also predict the running path of a teammate in a situation.”
Özil found the back of the net during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week.
The former Real Madrid man has already broken two assist records this season. Özil has a total of three goals and 11 assists in all competitions this term.
Arsenal take on Norwich city this weekend as they look to get back to winning ways in the league following the defeat against West Brom last Saturday.
