AC Milan attempt to hijack move for £17m Liverpool defensive target
AC Milan want Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer in a part-exhange deal for Jose Sosa according to reports in Turkey.
Turkish newspaper Milliyet report that AC Milan are prepared to offer Sosa in addition to a £4.2 million fee for the Denmark international.
Sosa has experience in the Turkish league enjoying a successful season at Besiktas before joining AC Milan last summer.
The £4.2 million fee does however, fall well short of Fenerbahce’s £17 million valuation.
Kjaer does have another two-years on his contract and current earns £3.4 million per-season.
The 29-year-old travelled to Italy where he was reported to have held talks the Serie A giants but it turned out he was there to plan his wedding.

AC Milan could face competition from Liverpool for Kjaer’s signature.
Turkish-Football report that the Reds have been scouting the experienced centre-back for months.
Fanatik meanwhile claimed this week that Liverpool have established contact with Kjaer’s agent.
Per the source, Liverpool have held preliminary talks with Kjaer’s agent Mikkel Beck regarding his availability.
