‘Against Bulgarian Farmers and Fishermen’ – Fans react to Arsenal star Mesut Ozil winning goal of the Champions League on social media

Mesut Ozil was awarded the BT Sport Goal of the Tournament award for his finish in the 3-2 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League.

The magical goal helped the Gunners beat the Bulgarian giants in a frenetic game.

Arsenal conceded twice in the opening 15 minutes but manage to claw their way back and win the game thanks to Ozil’s goal with just three minutes left on the clock.

Ozil picked up 57 percent of the public vote.

In case you missed the goal here it is again.

It really was a brilliant goal but not everyone was on board with it being the best goal of the tournament.

To be fair Ludogorets are a major Bulgarian team so this is a bit of an unfair assessment.

Arsenal fans in general seemed pretty pleased with the decision – which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

It was not so much the goal but the quality of opposition Ozil scored against that some people had a problem with.

And there were more than a few shouts for Mandzukic’s stunning strike against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Is there any goal that isn’t better with Titanic music?
