Under is under contract with Roma until 2021 and has been in impressive form for the Seria A giants scoring twice and providing four assists in eight game in all competitions.

Under will be at Roma for the rest of the season but a summer move has not been ruled out.

The Citizens narrowly missed out on signing Under over the summer to Roma who trumped their offer and gave assurances of first-team football.

Under told me last November in an interview for the Guardian that Roma sporting director Monchi played a major role in him joining the club: “I was convinced after we heard Monchi’s plan. Monchi [Roma’s director of football] explained they were making big changes. He made it clear that he wanted me as a player for the first-team squad, not as a future prospect. He valued me as a footballer in my own right now, as a rising star with potential.”

The young winger has gone onto establish himself as a star name in the Serie A as a first-choice name for Roma.

The winger has been called up to the Turkey national team squad and is likely to start in the friendly against Bosnia and the UEFA Nations League clash away to Russia over the international break.
