The Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie could be cutting his stay in Istanbul short after being linked with a return to the Premier League.T
The Daily Mail newspaper claim that the Fenerbahce have offered both West Ham United and Crystal Palace a chance to sign the Netherlands international this summer.
However, Jacobus Cornelis Vos from Van Persie’s management company refused to comment on speculation linking his client with a return to the Premier League.
According to the clubs President Aziz Yildirim, despite scoring 16 goals in the league for Fenerbahce this season, Van Persie has been linked with a move away this summer.
The experinced striker joined Fenerbahce from Manchester United for £4 million.
“Van Persie, we’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold,” Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim told reporters.
Van Persie does have another two-years remaining on his current contract and has years of Premier League experience having played for both Arsenal and Manchester United. The experinced striker provided three assists and scored 22 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce this season.
