Agent responds to reports that Barcelona star is nearing a January move to Arsenal
Barcelona star Arda Turan has been closely linked with a January exit after struggling for playing time under Ernesto Valverde this season.
In fact Turan has not played a single game in all competitions this campaign.
The Mirror report that Turan remains a target for the North London based outfit who could offer him a way out in January.
Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut revealed in an interview with Turkish State Broadcaster TRT that his client wants to play first team football but that he must receive an attractive offer to tempt him away from Barcelona.
“Arda has another 2.5 years on his contract, it is a very good contract but we are not happy with the current situation,” Bulut said.
“The manager has not even given him 10 minutes of competitive football, it is really weird and we aren’t quite sure what is going on.
“Arda wants to play first team football but whoever wants him is going to have to offer a good deal to prize him away.”
Turkey national team boss Mircea Lucescu revealed that the Gunners had an offer for Turan turned down over the summer.
Bulut meanwhile recently confirmed that he is in talks with four clubs and that there is a Premier League side among the interested parties.
“I have been in talks with four clubs, everything will be sorted in 15 days,” Bulut was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“Turan will either be loaned out or sold, there are offers from the Premier League, Spain and Italy.”
Turan added further fuel to speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal after making a trip to London last week.
The 30-year-old met with his agent Ahmet Bulut. Turan shared the photos on his social media, including the caption, “Winter is coming.”
