Agent reveals £25m Arsenal target Arda Turan’s future
Arda Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has poured cold water on reports linking his client with a move to Arsenal.
According to The Times. Arsenal were preparing a £25 million offer for the Turkey international.
Per the source the Gunners were lining up the former Atletico Madrid man as a replacement for Mesut Ozil. Ozil’s contract with Arsenal expires at the end of next season.
However, Ahmet Bulut has stated that there has been no talks between himself and Arsenal.
“There is currently no offer, there is nothing to speak of right now,” Bulut was quoted as saying Eren Sarigul of Turkish-Football & ESPN FC.
“I have not been contacted by Arsenal. As I said before, he is happy at Barcelona and has three years left on his contract.”
Turkish-Football recently revealed that Arda Turan brought a house in London and has frequently been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years.
The 30-year-old midfielder was left out of Barcelona’s squad which defeated Valencia last weekend.
Turan has been called up to the Turkey national team which take on Finland this week.
