Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan has been closely linked with a move to Premier League after impressing this season.
Crystal Palace could have signed the Turkey international in 2018 according to his agent Utku Cenikli.
Palace had agreed terms with Tufan, the midfielder even brought his plane ticket to travel to London before the transfer was aborted at the last minute.
An injury to Bakary Sako forced Palace to target a striker and Alexander Sorloth was signed instead, resulting in the Tufan transfer collapsing.

“We had agreed terms with Crystal Palace. We brought his plane ticket and were ready to go,” Cenikli said.
“It was transfer deadline day, we was watching the Palace game together and was going to fly to London afterward.
“Sakho got injured during the game and we got a message in the morning from Palace that the move was off because they had to sign a striker.
“And that is when they brought in Sorloth.”
Sorloth ended up struggling for playing time at Palace and was loaned to Trabzonspor last summer on a two-year deal.
The Norway international has scored 21 times and provided five assists in all competitions since moving to Turkey.
Tufan meanwhile, has been a star name for Fenerbahce this season and returned to the Turkey national team fold.
The 24-year-old is expected to feature for Turkey at Euro 2020 and is being closely linked with a Premier League transfer.
