Anderson Talisca was closely linked with a Premier League move when Besiktas manager Senol Gunes revealed he would be joining a club that plays as a ‘rival’ to Everton.
The club in mention was thought to have been Liverpool but Manchester United were also closely linked with Talisca as was Wolves.
The Brazilian ended up moving to Chinese outfit GZ Evergrande on shock a six-month loan instead.
Gunes opened up about the transfer in a press conference held to mark the start of pre-season.

“Talisca was going to the Premier League, then his agent got involved and did this and that,” Gunes said.
“I don’t understand from all this wheeling and dealing, it’s all down to money not just about the move.”

Portuguese paper O Jogo, claimed that United made a €40m offer for Talisca.
The Record meanwhile were reporting Liverpool as being favorites in the race for the 24-year-old.
Talisca spent the past two-seasons on loan at the Black Eagles scoring a total of 37 goals and providing 14 assists in 80 appearances.
The 1.92m tall attacking midfielder lifted the 2016-17 Super Lig title with Besiktas.
