Albayrak – ‘Prandelli is a great person but it just did not work out’ [divider]

Galatasaray board member Abdurrahim Albayrak revealed that Cesare Prandelli was a great person to work with but that things just did not work out.

“I want to thank Prandelli for his services to the club,” Albayrak.

“It is horrible that it had to end like this, he is a great person and we never wanted things to happen in this way but it just did not work out.

“I met with him today and we will have a farewell meal next week. 

“We will treat him with the respect he deserves and I want to thank him again on behalf of the whole Galatasaray community.”

The former Italy national team coach won six, drew two and  lost seven of the 15 games he was in charge of Galatasaray.

Albayrak also revealed that Hamza Hamzaoğlu is expected to be appointed as the new Galatasaray manager tomorrow.

“Hopefully we will sign a contract with Hamza Hamzaoğlu tomorrow,” Albayrak said.
