Altinordu President Makes Frank Assessment About £55m Arsenal Target’s Future, Serie A Exit Could Be On The Cards

Roma star Cengiz Under has been attracted interest from several clubs across Europe including Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Football Italia recently reported that the Giallorossi slapped a £55m [€60m] price-tag on their star man following interest from Bayern.

We have reported on the Gunners interest since last season with Under being regularly scouted by the North London based outfit.

The in-form Premier League side could end up losing out in the race to Bayern if the latest comments made by Altinordu president Mehmet Ozkan.

Ozkan revealed that he feels Under could end up joining the German giants next.

“Cengiz is being closely watched by Bayern Munich, all I’ll say is he could move for big money,” Ozkan said.

Ozkan is close to Under and his family from the Roma star’s time at Altinordu.

The Izmir based outfit discovered Under aged 11 and developed him until his transfer to Basaksehir aged 19.

Under has scored four goals and provided two assists in all competitions for Roma this season.

In total, the Roma starlet has 10 goals and six assists in 40 appearances for the Giallorossi since joining last summer.

The rising star has another four-years left on his contract deal but is on the lower end of the pay spectrum earning just €800,000 per-year.

The 21-year-old is currently on international duty with Turkey and will be capped for the 15th time if he stars against Russia in the UEFA Nations League clash on Sunday.
