Arsenal came from behind twice to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Gunners also spent most of the game down to 10 men after Maitland-Niles was sent off on 41 minutes.

Mesut Ozil did not start for the Gunners and was not brought on as a substitute either over the course of the 90 minutes.

The playmaker of Turkish origin did however, share a post on Instagram following the game with the message ‘always have faith’.

Ozil featured last week in the 2-2 draw against Watford last week playing 71 minutes.

The 30-year-old has made just a single appearance for the Gunners this term.

Ozil missed the opening game of the season against Newcastle United due to safety concerns after two men were arrested outside his north London home.

He missed the Burnley clash due to illness and was not included in the Liverpool or Frankfurt matchday squads.

Ozil was however, in the squad against Villa over the weekend.

Arsenal take on Nottingham Forrest tomorrow in the Carabao Cup before traveling to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

Ozil is match fit but Unai Emery may decide to rotate his side against Forrest ahead of the Premier League clash against rivals United.
