'Anderlecht and Lazio were interested' in Alexander Milosevic

Besiktas board member Erdal Torunoğulları has spoken to reporters about his clubs latest transfer Alexander Milosevic.

The Black Eagles completed the of Alexander Milosevic from AIK Stockholm earlier today.

“We have signed a high quality player to our squad,” Torunoğulları said.

“We have been monitoring him for a long time. We have scouts around Europe watching players. 

“Milosevic was recommended to us by our scouting team and we had been in talks over recent months.”

Torunoğulları also stated that Milosevic had attracted interest from other clubs in Europe.

“Both Anderlecht and Lazio were interested in signing him. Anderlecht made a similar offer to us but he chose to sign with Besiktas. 

The Swedish international back will join up with the Besiktas squad on January 13.

Milosevic has made two assists and scored three goals in 28 appearances for AIK Stockholm this season.
