Antalyaspor have completed the signing of Barcelona youth midfielder Lionel Enguene.
The 20-year-old midfielder was unveiled in an official signing ceremony held at the club headquarters in Antalya.
Antalyaspor president Gültekin Gencer revealed that Enguene also has a €10 million release clause included in his contract.
Gencer stated that he was delighted with the deal going ahead and that Enguene has a lot of potential at a press-conference held shortly after the young midfiedler put pen to paper.
“Enguene spent eight years in the Barcelona academy and will add a lot of quality to Antalyaspor. He has a €10 million release clause as we fully believe in his,” Gencer told Turkish-football.com reporters at the press conference.
Enguene played for the Barcelona B side and made 17 appearances for the reigning La Liga champions in the UEFA U19 Champions League but did not make an appearance for the senior side.
Antalyaspor have embarked on an ambitious transfer policy since ensuring promotion to top-flight football over the summer bringing in former Barcelona star Samuel Eto’o and targeting Manchester United keeper Victor Valdes.
