Valverde opened the scoring within the first five minutes, and Camavinga doubled the lead shortly after. Güler then added his name to the scoresheet with a well-taken left-footed strike.
The Turkish international reacted to his brace and the victory after the game underlining that he hopes he continues to bring ‘joy’ to the fans.
“I hope we continue winning these matches, playing so well and bringing joy to our fans. Today we played a fantastic game collectively. Hopefully we can keep playing like this,” he said on Realmadrid TV.
“The Madrid fans support us everywhere, and today we tried to respond to them with our football and with this victory. We hope they keep backing us because they always support us.”
Modric capped off the scoring with a late goal, ensuring a comfortable victory for the reigning La Liga champions.
This was Real Madrid’s first match in the Copa del Rey this season, having missed the early rounds due to their participation in the Spanish Super Cup.
Jude Bellingham was rested for the match after his heroics in the victory over Valencia last weekend.
With this victory, Real Madrid progress to the last 16 of the Copa del Rey and will be looking to go further in the competition this season.
