Arda Turan added to Barcelona Champions League squad ahead of Arsenal clash

Turkish international star Arda Turan has been added to the Barcelona Champions League clash ahead of the Last 16 tie against Arsenal.

The first-leg will be played at the Emirates on 23 February 2016 and the return-leg will be X March at the Camp Nou.

Turan will not be able to play in the first-leg due to serving a suspension for a sending off offence last season against Real Madrid at the quarter-final stages of the competition while playing for his former side Atletico Madrid.

Atleti were knocked out at the quarter-final stages but were just a minute away from winning the competition the previous season making it all the way to the final.

Turan will be joined by Adrian Ortola and Aleix Vidal while David Babunski, Juan Cámara, Alejandro Grimaldo (Benfica), Gerard Gumbau and José Aurelio Suárez have all been removed from the squad.

Barcelona are currently first in La Liga, in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey and are the reigning Champions League title holders.

Arsenal meanwhile have added January signing Mohamed Elneny to their squad while Glen Kamara (Southend, loan) and Mathieu Debuchy (Bordeaux, loan) have all been removed.
