Arda Turan proud to be part of Barcelona following debut

Barcelona team news

Arda Turan has taken to social media to express his delight at making his Barcelona debut yesterday evening against city rivals Espanyol.

The 28-year-old was included in Barcelona’s starting line-up which took on Espanyol in the Copa del Rey. The Catalan giants defeated their rivals by a 4-1 scoreline.

Turan posted a picture of his side celebrating a goal along with the caption, “Proud to be a member.”

The former Galatasaray ball boy made his official debut for the reigning La Liga champions six months after joining as a result of the FIFA transfer ban being lifted.

Turan put on a spirited display and did not look like a player that had not played a single club game for the first-half of the season. The bearded winger was fielded on the right side of the midfield-three replacing Rakitic and played alongside Busquets in the middle and Iniesta on the left.

The Turkish international had 64 touches in total making 43 passes with an 81 percent accuracy and won five out of six attempted tackles.
