Arda Turan tweets ‘Vamos Atleti’ following elimination of Real Madrid [divider]

Atletico Madrid ensured safe passage to the Copa del Rey quarter-finals following a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid.

January signing Fernando Torres scored a brace while Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo found the net for Real to see Atleti go through 4-2 on aggregate.

Atleti star Arda Turan tweeted, “It is a fantastic feeling being able to make it to the next round, I want to thank the fans for the support, Vamos Atleti!”

Turan also underlined that Atleti have to keep winning consistently in order to ensure future success.

“I always want to achieve success, there are still many matches to win, a lot of success that will become ours, thank you all, good evening,” he added.

Turan has won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, Copa Del Rey and La Liga title since joining the Rojiblancos in 2011.
