Turkish international star Arda Turan has revealed that he dreams of lifting the Champions League trophy with Barcelona.
Turan believes he will be the ‘talisman’ that provides Barcelona the good fortune they will need if they are to become the first club to ever win the competition for the second time in a row.
The bearded winger has been close to winning the trophy before in fact Atletico Madrid were just a minute away from being crowned champions of Europe back in the 2014 final against rivals Real Madrid.
“I came here to win the Champions League. There was a minute left to win it [in the 2014 final when Atletico lost after extra time to Real Madrid],” Turan was quoted as saying by Football-Espana.
“Let’s see if I am the talisman for Barca to win it for the second time in a row.”
Turan has won every other European and Spanish domestic title including the Europa League, European Super Cup and La Liga during his time at Atleti.
The bearded winger joined Barcelona on a five-year deal from Atleti over the summer and the La Liga giants have won all eight games since he made his debut last month.
Barcelona are currently in the Champions League Last 16 and will face Premier League giants Arsenal next.
