Arda Turan – ‘We need to pray’ [divider]
Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan revealed that Turkey have to work hard and pray if they are to make the 2016 European Championships.
“This was a really important game so of course we are happy we won,” Turan said.
“We haven’t had the best of results but we will not give up, we believe in ourselves and will not surrender.
“We are used to being the underdogs and coming back from tough situations.
“I want to thank the fans for their support today. These are hard times, but we will overcome them. These players can do it. We will work hard and pray.
“United we stand divided we fall, Kazakhstan played well and have scored in each of their games. They are progressing and I hope they do well in the future.”
The Turkish international played a full 90 minutes in Turkey’s 3-1 over Kazakhstan in Euro 2016 Group A.
