Arsenal 3-5-2 v Sunderland: Confirmed lineups – Wenger sticks with winning 3-5-2 formula, star duo start

Arsenal will be hoping to keep hopes of a top-four finish alive with a victory over Sunderland at the Emirates.

The Black Cats have nothing to play for other than pride having already been relegated.

The North London based outfit have won five out of their last six games since head coach Arsene Wenger switched to a 3-5-2 setup.

Wenger will keep with his 3-5-2 formation and has named a largely unchanged side to the one that crushed Stoke City.

Mesut Ozil will start alongside Alexis Sanchez behind striker Olivier Giroud.

The Germany international of Turkish origin has flourished since the tactical switch up and scored in 4-1 win over Stoke City last weekend.

The Gunners could win all their remaining games and still miss out on Champions League football.

The North London based outfit need either Manchester City or Liverpool to drop points if they are to stand any chances of a top-four finish.
