Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has been closely linked with a move to Besiktas over the summer.
The Colombia international has dropped into third place in the pecking order at the North London outfit behind Bernd Leno and Petr Cech.
The 29-year-old broke his silence on his future on the Colombian television program ‘The Suso’s Show’.
Ospina revealed that he will be holding talks with the club regarding next season.
The Colombian international made it clear that he is hoping for a fresh start.
“I will return to Arsenal and assess the situation,” Ospina said.
“But right now I think it is time for something new.
“Arsenal is going through a transition period, they signed a new keeper and have a new manager.
“I will hold talks with the new boss and my agent and weigh up my options.”
Sources close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that they have been in talks with Arsenal and Ospina’s representatives over a summer move.
As things stand they have yet to reach an agreement with the Gunners or his agent despite the North London outfit and his representatives giving the green light for a summer exit.
Besiktas are considering loaning Ospina or signing him but it will all come down to the final price.
The Super Lig outfit are in the market for a replacement for Fabri who was sold to Fabri but also have their sights on Liverpool stopper Simon Mignolet and Bursaspor keeper Harun Tekin.
The Premier League transfer window shuts on Thursday but Besiktas will have until the end of the month to complete signings.
