Galatasaray have received a boost in the race to sign Arsenal star forward Joel Campbell.
The Gunners newly appointed manager Unai Emery is expected to make major changes to Arsenal’s squad this summer.
According to the London Evening Standard, Emery has axed Campbell from the north London based club’s squad.
The Costa Rica international does not feature in the Spanish tactician’s plans for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, the London Evening Standard goes onto state that Emery has blocked Calum Chambers exit from the club.
Campbell has been closely linked with a move to Galatasaray in recent weeks.

According to a report from Turkish outlet Fanatik, the Lions have agreed personal terms with Campbell.
The versatile forward is currently on international duty with the Costa Rica national team at the 2018 World Cup.
Campbell has spent his last six season out on loan at Betis, Sporting Lisbon, Villarreal, Olympiacos and Lorient. The 25-year-old has made just 23 appearances for Arsenal in over six years at the club.
