Arsenal defender Koscielny out against Galatasaray [divider]
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Laurent Koscielny will definitely miss the Champions League Group D Match Day 6 clash against Galatasaray in Istanbul.
“A few players will not travel because there’s not a lot at stake and we have given a lot in the last two weeks,” Wenger said.
“We have to recover a little bit. Alexis will not travel and I don’t think I can play, for example, Koscielny.
“[Koscielny] didn’t play on Saturday and I don’t see why I should risk him for a game where’s there’s not a lot at stake – first place hypothetically, but there’s maybe a 10 per cent chance.”
Koscielny will miss the game as he continues to struggle with an Achilles problem.
Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Özil, Ospina and Alexis Sanchez will also miss the game with injury.
Danny Welbeck, Mathieu Debuchy and Nacho Monreal are also doubts for the game in Istanbul.
