Arsenal Draw CSKA Moscow In The Europa League Quarter-Final

Arsenal will face CSKA Moscow in the Europa League Quarter-finals following the draw held at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The Gunners booked a place in the quarter-finals after eliminating AC Milan 5-1 on aggregate.

Before the draw Arsene Wenger stated that he wanted to steer clear of Atletico Madrid.

“We would certainly want to avoid Atletico Madrid,” the Arsenal boss said.

“They’re probably favorites, but what I would like doesn’t matter too much as I have no influence on it.

“We have to wait and see who we get. If we get Atletico, we get Atletico. We now have some time to recover and prepare for it.”

Atleti ended up drawing Sporting Lisbon of Portugal in an Iberian derby.

In the other ties Germany’s RB Leipzig take on Marseille from France, while Italian giants Lazio face Salzburg of Austria – who knocked out Borussia Dortmund.
