Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil scored and provided an assist in the 5-1 victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
Ozil’s goal was subject to much debate afterward. The playmaker of Turkish origin managed to kick the ball into the ground to chip the keeper. But did he mean it?
Well one Arsenal fan decided to put together a compilation of shots involving Ozil pulling off the same shooting technique naming it the ‘Ozil Bounce’.
The Telegraph meanwhile, coined a name for the shot, the ‘Ozil Chop’.
Here is the chop in all its glory. To be fair it does appear that he has managed to create a unique shooting technique.
So there you have it; the Cruyff turn, the Makélélé role and the Ozil Bounce – or chop.

Ozil is match fit for the North London derby against Tottenham on Saturday at Wembley Stadium but has struggled for playing time in 2019.
It remains to be seen whether Ozil has done enough to win over head coach Unai Emery heading into the key fixture.
The Gunners will close the gap with 3rd place Tottenham to just one point if they beat their rivals.
