Arsenal fans raise money for ‘missing’ Ozil and a Man City player donated

A group of Arsenal fans held collection buckets for both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil following the Gunners 2-2 draw with Man City.

Chile international Sanchez is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal and has been linked with a summer exit. So Arsenal fans decided to take matters into their own hands and collect money to put forward for a new deal.

The group of fans also had a separate collection box to find a ‘missing’ Mesut Ozil.

The Germany international has been criticised for his performances in big games. Despite providing the assist for Arsenal’s equaliser yesterday, the 28-year-old old was again singled out for his performance.

A Snapchat story from ArsenalFanTV showed Arsenal fans holding a bucket which was raising funds to help find Ozil.

According to Lumos from ArsenalFanTV, Man City star Ilkay Gundogan also contributed to the fund.

“Gundogan was driving with Ozil,” Lumos stated on ArsenalFanTV

“Them lot got him to put money into a missing Ozil bucket!”

Gundogan and Ozil are both Germany internationals of Turkish decent and are good friends. In fact, the deed was performed while Gundogan was driving with Ozil.

Arsenal are seven points behind fourth placed Man City following Sunday’s draw.
