Arsenal fear that Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac could miss more games this season due to security concerns.

The Daily Mail report at the pair have been caught up in a ‘gang war’ after being attacked in London.

They were targeted in an attempted armed robbery outside Kolasinac’s house a two weeks ago.

Kolasinac fought off the knife-wielding thieves while Ozil was chased in his car.

They were both left out of the traveling squad against Newcastle United last weekend due to ‘further security incidents’.

Two men were arrested outside Ozil’s house in north London last week in a separate incident.

The Mail claim that the incidents could have connections to London based gangs.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery already admitted that both players could miss the Burnley game but they could now be out for longer.

“The club is managing that circumstance [the safety of Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac],” Emery told Arsenal’s official website.

“We want to be with them as soon as possible and with normality in training and normality to be ready to play. I don’t know now [if they will play next week].”

There are now security guards and dogs outside both players homes in a 24-hour watch.

Kolasinac has reportedly returned to Germany following the security threat.

Ozil meanwhile has been linked with a move to DC United in the press but Turkish-Football can confirm he will not be leaving Arsenal this season and is settled into life in London.
