Arsenal Linked Alberto Moreno Does Not Want To Stay In England Or Move To Fenerbahce

Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno wants to return to Spain and play Champions League football next season.

A source close to Fenerbahce revealed that talks were held with Moreno’s representatives but they were informed that he has his mind set on playing La Liga football next season.

The Yellow Canaries were informed that he is in talks with clubs in Spain and is close to an agreement with a side who will play Champions League football next term.

Moreno has also been linked with Arsenal in the Mirror but he does not want to stay in England either.

Moreno will be leaving as a free agent at the end of the month as the Reds did not offer the 25-year-old a contract extension.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was quoted by the BBC as saying: “The most important words to say to these two remarkable players are ‘thank you’.”

“Alberto is a person whose personality is reflected in how he plays – full of life, full of energy, always positive. An unbelievable character who is always willing to give all of himself for the team.”

Moreno joined Liverpool on a £12m move from Sevilla in August 2014 and has been capped four times by Spain.

The first-choice left-back for two seasons but went onto lose his place in the side to James Milner and then Andy Robertson.

Moreno played 141 times in all competitions for the Reds.
