Arsenal, Liverpool & Man City keeping close tabs on ‘game changer’ club to snap up the next hot talents

Altinordu may not be a household name just yet but in scouting circles they are starting to turn heads.

The PTT 1. Lig outfit have embarked on a mission to build a fully home grown side.

Altinordu have invested heavily in youth development and have already started to reap the benefits.

The project was recently described as being a ‘Game Changer’ in Turkish football according to the Guardian.

Twenty year old Cengiz Under – an Altinordu product – became the most expensive Turkish international to leave the Super Lig when he joined Roma for €15 million last season.

Twenty one year old Caglar Soyuncu meanwhile has established himself as a first-team regular in the Bundesliga for Freiburg.

Several clubs from across Europe have started regularly scouting the Altinordu youth sides and have established close ties at sporting director and other management levels.

Altinordu club president Mehmet Ozkan revealed that three Premier League sides have also been keeping close tabs; Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.

“We have established close ties at sporting director, academy director and chief scout level with Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Roma, Udinese, Villarreal, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid among others as a result of our work,” Ozkan told the Guardian.

City have their eye on 17-year-old goalkeeper Berke Ozer and have made an offer according to the club president.

“We want him to play in Europe, if Berke has a great season the odds of him moving to the Premier League are high,” Ozkan added.

“Manchester City already made him an offer. We will see what the future holds.”
