Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny will not feature in the Istanbul derby clash for Besiktas who he joined on loan over the summer transfer window.

The Black Eagles will take on Basaksehir at the Vodafone Park Stadium on Monday evening hoping to turn around a dismal run of form.

Besiktas put on a disastrous showing against Gazisehir who beat them last week and then they went onto lose 4-2 in the Europa league away to Slovan Bratislava – in a game they led 2-1 at one period.

Elneny was sent off against Gazisehir on his debut and will miss the Basaksehir clash due to being suspended.

The Black-Whites will also be without defensive duo Domagoj Vida and Victor Ruiz.

Basaksehir finished last season as runners-up but have been struggling without Abdullah Avci at the helm.

Avci who is now in charge of Besiktas was replaced by Okan Buruk who has not got off to the best of starts.

Basaksehir are currently tied on four points with their Istanbul rivals and were thrashed 4-0 against Roma midweek in the Europa League.

Besiktas have been in poor form but are undefeated in their last 13 home games – and 10 of their last matches at the Vodafone Park against Basaksehir.
