Arsenal & Man City Lead Transfer Race For Turkish Wonderkid

Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City lead a pack of European powerhouses vying for Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy according to HITC.

Per the source, over half of England’s top-flight clubs scouted the 18-year-old this season, impressed by his 11 goals in 30 games.

Kilicsoy’s recent hot streak, with 10 goals in 17 appearances, has attracted interest from Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Manchester United. Fulham reportedly offered £13 million, but Besiktas is expected to demand much more.

Kilicsoy possesses the skillset to develop into a top-flight attacker. With Gabriel Jesus’ inconsistent scoring (only 4 league goals), the Gunners desperately need depth in the final third.

Kilicsoy, despite his young age (18), showcases maturity beyond his years and has established himself as a star player at Besiktas.

This transfer would be a long-term investment for Arsenal, securing a young talent with significant room for growth. Kilicsoy, hungry to establish himself as a regular starter, would embrace the challenge of competing in the Premier League.

While Besiktas will be reluctant to sell such a prized asset, a lucrative offer from Arsenal or City could spark negotiations.

Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Monaco, Leipzig, Dortmund, Juventus, Napoli, and Inter Milan also join the chase for the dynamic striker, who models his game after Sergio Aguero.

Kilicsoy hopes his form will get him a call up to the senior Turkish national team for Euro 2024 this summer which could see his value increase further.
