Scouts from Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United were present at the Euro 2024 group stage decider between Turkey and Czech Republic, with a keen eye on Turkish left-back Ferdi Kadioglu, sources have told Turkish-Football.
The Gunners have been scouting Kadioglu for over a year and United have joined a growing list of clubs interested in signing the Turkish international this summer.

Kadioglu, a mainstay in the Turkish defense, has been a key figure in their Euro 2024 campaign. His attacking prowess and solid defensive play haven’t gone unnoticed, with both Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly considering a summer transfer swoop.
The 24-year-old currently plays for Fenerbahce in the Turkish Süper Lig. He has been a consistent performer for the club, racking up impressive stats and earning praise for his versatility. Kadioglu can play on either flank, offering additional depth to a potential buyer.
Kadioglu has been one of Turkey’s most consistent players in the European Championships and has created 10 goal scoring chances, only Christian Eriksen and Kevin De Bruyne have more – both are attacking midfielders.
Arsenal’s interest in Kadioglu stems from their desire to strengthen their left-back position. While Kieran Tierney has returned from his loan spell, his future at the club remains uncertain.
Reports suggest Mikel Arteta is looking for a reliable option to compete with, or potentially replace, the Scottish defender. Kadioglu’s attacking flair could also provide a different dimension to Arsenal’s play on the left flank.
Manchester United’s Defensive Woes
Manchester United’s interest likely stems from their ongoing defensive struggles. Kadioglu’s experience and defensive solidity could be a welcome addition to a leaky United backline.
Competition Looms for Kadioglu’s Signature
With both Arsenal and Manchester United circling, a potential bidding war for Kadioglu’s signature could ensue. Fenerbahce will likely demand a hefty fee for their prized defender, especially considering his impressive performances at Euro 2024.
The Yellow Canaries value their star man as being €30m and have also received interest from Borussia Dortmund who are expected to make an offer.
