Baris Yilmaz, a standout performer for Turkey at Euro 2024, has emerged as a transfer target for several Premier League clubs. The 24-year-old’s impressive displays, despite playing out of position as a striker, have caught the eye of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United according to HITC.

Ferdi Kadioglu, previously linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, could see his club Fenerbahce struggle to hold onto him. Similarly, Kadioglu’s teammate Ismael Yuksek has also attracted Premier League interest.

Yilmaz, however, is reportedly hottest property. He was instrumental in leading Galatasaray to the 2024 Super Lig title, contributing seven goals and 12 assists.

While he didn’t score at Euro 2024, his pace, energy, and tireless work ethic created problems for defenses, including Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, according to former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon.

HITC also report that clubs in Germany, Spain, and Italy are also interested in Yilmaz, who is reportedly valued at £22 million. His departure from the Turkish giants seems increasingly likely.

Yilmaz’s versatility adds another layer to his appeal. He’s played on both wings, as a full-back, and even centrally for Galatasaray, drawing comparisons to Real Madrid’s Fede Valverde. Yilmaz himself has acknowledged comparisons to Kylian Mbappé, Gareth Bale, and Phil Foden.
